2026 Update
A lot has happened in the 8 years since I built this website. The kids have all grown and fledged. Our cats have died and Norbert has grown very old. My parents moved in with us when my mom's Lewy body dementia became challenging for my father to manage alone. They were with us for several years as her health and cognition steadily declined. She died in 2022.

Mark & I followed a leading and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2023. My father came with and lives in the upstairs of our house. The move was a surprisingly smooth whirlwind. We are now happy members of Friendship Friends Meeting which is walking distance from our house through the Guilford Woods. We treasure our community and the friends we have made here. Currently, I'm clerking Worship & Ministry committee and serve on Care & Counsel and the ad hoc "Interior Spaces" committee (which is not a spiritual metaphor); I also act as the tech set-up and Zoom host for worship on most Sundays. We are active with our yearly meeting, North Carolina Yearly Meeting-Conservative. The Greensboro area has six Quaker meetings/churches within 45 minutes of our house and we have friends at five of them. I love the across-branches connections we're able to make here.
